Vines Oakley is an up and coming home bred yearling colt from the finest of pedigrees. His sire is our Oak Leaf and his dam is one of our own bay broodmares. He will finish growing around 14hh and has one blue eye.

Here at Vines Gypsy Horses we pride ourselves on our own breeding programme, we breed the true proper traditional gypsy cobs in a varying range of sizes and colours. We DO NOT breed for size  and WE DO NOT breed for colour. Conformation and temperament come first each and every time. This colt is a culmination of our lifes work. Our heart and soul goes into working 365 days a year tending to our herd, and each foaling season is exciting and very rewarding for us as a family.

To breed a colt as good as this take a lot of time, love and attention to detail. Look at the legs on him, we think he has as good as legs on a yearling colt as you would find anywhere in the world, this is what the serious breeder should strive to breed. Legs, joints, fine bone and silky feather, something you can’t ‘grow’ on a cob, they either have it or they don’t.

Finally, his colour is also very very rare in the gypsy cob breed, he is a silver bay, EE - Aa - Nz.   As he carries the silver gene he can produce offspring with an array of different silver genes, depending on the mare.

Needless to say we are offering him to a serious breeding home only, if he stays with us we would be more than happy !
